RATED CAPACITY

The rated capacities in this catalog are given in pounds and are for new slings. NEVER EXCEED CAPACITIES. The capacity of a sling will vary, depending on the way the sling is being used (vertical, choker or basket hitch). Capacities for the various hitches are listed on this sheet.

In the case of two slings used together, one sling in a basket hitch from a single hook, the capacity will be reduced, depending on the angle of the sling from the vertical. To determine how much the sling capacity is reduced at various angles, use the table to the right. Multiply the original sling capacity by the factor for the angle to get the reduced capacity at that angle.
